InCommon is hiring on behalf of a Canada-based company. They are a specialised Snowflake services provider. Their services include data engineering, architecture, modelling, and integration.
Position Summary
We are looking for seasoned Snowflake Architects and Engineers to join our team and lead the design and implementation of large-scale data solutions on the Snowflake platform. This role is suited for professionals with deep expertise in data architecture and extensive experience with Snowflake.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of data solutions using Snowflake.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data strategies and translate them into architectural blueprints.
Optimize Snowflake architecture for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
Ensure best practices in data governance, security, and compliance are followed.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the data engineering team.
Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve the data architecture.
Troubleshoot complex issues related to data architecture, integration, and performance.
Requirements:
8-10 years of experience in data architecture and engineering, with a strong focus on Snowflake.
Deep understanding of data warehousing, big data architectures, and cloud data platforms.
Experience in designing and implementing multi-cluster Snowflake environments.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on scalable solutions.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Snowflake certification (e.g., SnowPro Advanced Architect).
- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming architectures.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools.
