Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Diamond QC professional to join our team in Mumbai. This is a full-time, mid-level position that requires between 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in quality assurance protocols and carat measurement, along with a deep understanding of diamond grading and certification processes.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in carat measurement for evaluating diamond weight and value (Mandatory skill).
  • Understanding and application of quality assurance protocols to maintain high standards (Mandatory skill).
  • Experience with gemological microscopes to examine the internal features and structure of diamonds.
  • Expertise in diamond grading to assess and classify diamonds based on quality factors.
  • Skilled in using colorimeters for accurate measurement of diamond color for certification.
  • Adept at identifying inclusions to ensure clarity and value are up to industry standards.
  • Ability to conduct symmetry analysis to ensure diamond cuts meet aesthetic and quality criteria.
  • Familiarity with diamond certification processes to validate and issue diamond credentials.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed inspections of diamonds to ensure they meet defined quality criteria.
  • Measure carat weights accurately to determine value as per international standards.
  • Utilize gemological tools to carry out detailed analysis and document findings.
  • Evaluate diamond clarity, color, and cut adhering to quality grading scales.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality inspections and grading data for reports.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve quality assessment processes and protocols.
  • Stay updated on industry standards for diamond certification and grading improvements.
  • Report findings and contribute to strategic decisions regarding inventory quality control.
