Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager to lead and manage a Water Master Plan project in the state of Maharashtra, India. The project involves the finalization of an environmental protection report, development of water supply scenarios in relation to the proposed water grid, management of Preliminary Design Reports (PDRs) for water intakes, pumping stations, and pipelines, as well as cost estimation for all recommended infrastructure including both Capital Expenditures (Capex) and Operating Expenses (Opex).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Protection Report: Oversee the finalization of the environmental protection report, ensuring all environmental guidelines and regulations are adhered to.
  • Water Supply Scenarios: Develop and evaluate various water supply scenarios considering the proposed water grid, ensuring optimal resource allocation and sustainability.
  • Preliminary Design Reports (PDRs): Manage the preparation and approval of PDRs for key infrastructure components such as water intakes, pumping stations, and pipelines.
  • Cost Estimation: Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates for all recommended infrastructure, including Capex and Opex.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with various stakeholders, including government authorities in Maharashtra, ensuring compliance with local regulations and obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Software Utilization: Utilize Bentley WaterCAD software for designing and analyzing the water distribution network.
  • Project Documentation: Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately and on time, including progress reports, financial reports, and technical documentation.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, planners, and consultants, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and manage the project schedule, ensuring all milestones are met within the project timeline.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budget, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing water-related master plans or general planning projects.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Bentley WaterCAD software is mandatory.
  • Government Experience: Familiarity with government processes and work in Maharashtra, India.
  • Language Skills: Must speak professional English.
  • Educational Background: A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Management, or a related field is preferred.
