Job Title: API Backend Engineer Location: Kharadi, Pune (Onsite/Hybrid ) Experience: 8+ years Employment Type: Full-timeWe are looking for an experiencedAPI Backend Engineerwith strong expertise inJava, Spring Boot, REST API design, and database management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and integrations. Experience withmessaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus, andGraphQLwill be considered a strong plus. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalableRESTful APIsusingJava and Spring Boot. Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, and product managers to define and deliver robust backend solutions. Implement and maintaindatabase schemas, queries, and stored procedures for high-performance data access. Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability. Integrate messaging or event-driven systems likeKafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus. Contribute to the design and development ofGraphQL APIs(optional but preferred). Ensure best practices in coding standards, security, and version control (Git). Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical documentation. Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 8+ years of professional experiencein backend development. Strong hands-on experience withJavaandSpring Boot. Deep understanding ofREST APIdesign and implementation. Experience working withrelational databases(e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle). Solid understanding ofOOPs,microservices architecture, anddesign patterns. Experience withCI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito). Good to Have / Strong Plus: Experience withKafka,RabbitMQ,Azure Service Bus, or other messaging systems. Familiarity withGraphQL. Knowledge ofcloud platformssuch asAzure,AWS, orGCP. Exposure tocontainerization(Docker, Kubernetes).
