Assistant Vice President HR Operations (Payroll & Employee Relations) will be responsible for overseeing payroll accuracy, compliance with statutory requirements, and managing all aspects of employee relations.
Payroll Management
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness.
Verify salary inputs (attendance, overtime, incentives, variable pay, deductions).
Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations (PF, ESI, PT, Income Tax, Gratuity, Bonus, LWF, etc.).
Liaise with finance and external payroll vendors/auditors as required.
Maintain payroll records and generate payroll MIS/reports for leadership.
Employee Relations
Act as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, ensuring fair and timely resolution.
Conduct employee counseling sessions and support managers in conflict resolution.
Foster positive employee engagement by promoting transparent communication.
Monitor workplace discipline and address policy violations in alignment with company policies.
Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends to reduce attrition.
HR Policies & Compliance
Implement and update HR policies, especially around payroll, benefits, and employee conduct.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and company standards.
Support internal/external audits by maintaining proper documentation.
HR Operations & Administration
Oversee onboarding and exit formalities, ensuring payroll-related clearances.
Manage employee records, HRIS data, and ensure accuracy of personal and financial information.
Generate regular HR dashboards focusing on payroll costs, attrition, and grievance trends.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong expertise in payroll management systems (SAP, Workday, Oracle, ADP, etc.).
In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws, compensation structures, and tax regulations.
Proven track record in employee grievance handling and conflict resolution.
