Job Title: Chief Manager/AVP - Underwriting - Property, Energy & Construction


Location: Lowerparel, Mumbai


Job Description:


Role and Responsibilities:


  • Ensure profitability objectives (Top Line and Bottom Line) for Property, Energy & Construction LOB by monitoring the performance of the portfolios, identifying adverse/ profitable trends and growth segments.
  • Monitor the performance of products for Property, Energy & Construction LOB constantly to ensure business targets are achieved.
  • Create timely, accurate underwriting and technical management information / statistics as required by internal stakeholders to monitor portfolio movement.
  • Engage in new initiatives and provide sales enablers for effective conversion of business.
  • Participate in interactions with client, intermediaries, channel team and with Zonal UW team to enhance overall customer, intermediary experience from organization standpoint.
  • Support Zonal underwriters with necessary product knowledge and guide them to proactively engage with customers/intermediaries to drive higher business growth.
  • Support the sales / Zonal underwriting teams on products technical knowledge.
  • Managing corporate Referrals that includes risk selection, policy coverage, pricing, deductibles, risk accumulation etc.
  • Facilitate FAC placements, Special acceptances in the Property, Energy and Construction portfolio business with help of reinsurance team.
  • Periodical Claim monitoring of the portfolio.


Qualifications:


To excel in this position, you should possess the UW experience of minimum 7-8 years.

Desired academic qualification is Engineering Graduate.
