DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Analysis and testing: Perform chemical analysis on various water samples, including drinking water, wastewater, and environmental water bodies. This includes using laboratory equipment, conducting quality control tests, and calibrating instruments, Conduct research on water quality, contamination, and ecosystems. This can involve analysing data, developing hypotheses, and investigating environmental issues like pollution or the presence of heavy metals.Quality assurance: Ensure water quality standards are met, which may involve testing raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they are safe and compliant with regulations.Teaching: Mentor and train students in chemistry, guide them in laboratory work, and contribute to the academic environment through lectures and coursework.Process development: Optimize and develop new methods for water purification and treatment, which may include adjusting chemical dosages or other processes to improve water quality.Report writing: Document and report findings, including test results and analysis, and prepare detailed reports for academic publications or regulatory agencies.QUALIFICATIONS: Education: A bachelor's degree in chemistry, environmental science, or chemical engineering is typically the minimum requirement, with many research and academic roles.M.Sc (EVS) or M. Tech (EVE) will have added advantageEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Min 3 years of experience from any soft drink industry (ex: Coco cola, Bisleri, Pepsi, etc) are preferred.Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency with laboratory equipment and procedures, and the ability to interpret and communicate scientific data are essential.
