The Role :

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineering Lead to manage a team of talented data engineers and drive the successful execution of our most critical data projects.

You will be a technical leader who bridges the gap between architectural vision and team execution, responsible for project delivery, team mentorship, and hands-on contribution to complex data pipelines.

This role is pivotal in ensuring our enterprise client projects and internal data initiatives are successful and deliver measurable value.

Key Responsibilities :

- Team Leadership & Mentorship : Lead, manage, and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering their technical and professional growth through coaching and constructive feedback.

- Project Delivery & Execution : Oversee the end-to-end delivery of data projects, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards.

- Technical Oversight : Provide technical direction on data pipeline design, development, and optimization.

- Lead by example in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices.

- Hands-on Contribution : Actively participate in the development of the most complex components of our data solutions, especially in areas requiring senior-level expertise.

- Stakeholder Management : Serve as the primary technical point of contact for project stakeholders, effectively communicating progress, risks, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Promote Excellence : Drive the adoption of data engineering best practices, including robust CI/CD pipelines, automated data quality testing, and comprehensive documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- Experience : 8+ years of professional experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a formal or informal leadership capacity where you were responsible for guiding other engineers.

- Technical Expertise : Strong hands-on experience and deep understanding of Big Data technologies, particularly the Databricks platform.

- Programming Proficiency : High proficiency in Python or Scala for data engineering.

- Cloud Skills : Solid experience designing and implementing data solutions using data services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Leadership Acumen : Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, manage project priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.

Location : Remote (India).
