Launched in 2019, Summa Alternatives is a successful capital introductions / placement agent firm working with alternative investment funds and connecting them to sophisticated institutional investors. We are focused on raising capital for hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital based around the world. Our vision is to back the top-quartile investment managers, as a trusted partner to them as they seek to achieve performance, scale, and success.
Since H2'24, we are also seeding a new business which is focused on building a platform to bridge gaps between corporates, investors, and emerging technologies.

We are seeking an individual with strong analytical and writing skills, who takes initiative, has great attention to detail, works well under pressure, and has the ability to perform both independently and within teams in a boutique capital introductions firm. You should be curious and adaptable self-starter to join us for a Full-Time position at the firm.
Summa Alternatives operates in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment, which promises an immersive introduction to the world of capital raising and alternative investments. As a core member of our team you will gain a holistic understanding of Capital Introductions/ Fund Placements and the opportunity to participate in the primary activities of the firm, to gain a first-hand knowledge of the business, and to develop a wide array of transferable financial and interpersonal skills. You will work parallelly with senior team members, hear pitches to prospective investors, and receive one-on-one mentorship from senior personnel.
Job Description:
- Research on a variety of topics related to limited partners and general partners / investment managers.
- Identifying new clients and institutions to enrich the firm's relationships.
- Contributing to marketing efforts which are directed to both our manager and institutional allocator community.
- Help screen and source new mandates from investment managers around the world.
- Research on emerging technologies/ startups and leading corporates for the firm's corporate innovations business.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of prior experience in Finance or investor relations experience.
- Bachelor Degree required with Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred (MANDATORY).
- Passion for alternative investments and interest in a capital raising / distribution/ sales & marketing career.
- Excellent MS Office and demonstrated analytical abilities (MANDATORY).
- Proven and engaged leader in academics, volunteer work or extra-curricular activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to professionally conversate in English (MANDATORY).
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
As this is a hybrid full-time position, all candidates will be required to have access to a fully-functioning laptop and a strong internet connection to work with us. Please note that as majority of the team is based in Mumbai, working hours will fall within this time zone.
