Role/Title: VP – AI Engineering Lead

Primary Responsibilities

•Drive the AI engineering efforts for our different AI based solutions

•Ensure all development follows EXL Digital’s engineering best practices

•Contribute to the digital AI Solution strategy for the target industry segments

•Support presales and delivery efforts of our AI solutions with a focus on IT engineering and security efforts

•Foster deep relationships with technical stakeholders at our top clients by demonstrating insight and thought leadership on application of digital in their context to help them meet their business goals

•Work with teams across the business to generate innovative AI solution opportunities

•Drive innovation across digital engineering around AI

Skill & Capabilities

•Have deep expertise in data science techniques and technologies

•Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and engineering best practices

•Experience architecting, building and deploying AI solutions

•Experience architecting AI solutions that use well-managed core APIs and SDKs to access LLMs and foundational models

•Solutioning and engineering skills in one of the primary Cloud hyper-scalers with a preference for AWS or Azure skills

•Cloud engineering skills including security and disaster recovery, storage, networking, virtualization, containerization, orchestration, Linux, web services, APIs, and DevOps

•Working understanding of the primary services leveraged in building and deploying, at scale, Cloud-native applications and platforms

•Work with clients in a consultative way

•Define AI solutions with product management

•Think innovatively and design and deliver client oriented digital AI solutions

•Lead conversations on digital AI solutions with CIOs/CTOs and their staffs

•Be the trusted advisor to clients on the technical details of our AI solutions

•Proven influencing and collaboration skills

Qualifications

•12+ yrs of proven track record in leading AI engineering teams

•At least 8 years of experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, or C++

•Solution architecture (features, functionalities, upstream & downstream impact on the AI workflow)

•Technical architecture (data flow, technologies, how they interact and integrate, technology selection, scalability, security)

•Strong expertise in AWS or Azure

•Should have led 20+ team of multi-disciplinary skills including solution architects, data scientists, technical architects, and developers

•Demonstrated experience in working with both senior business and technology stakeholders

•Familiarity with building large-scale AI products or platforms for NLP, speech, computer vision, or recommendation systems serving millions of users.
