Title: Senior Business AnalystSeniority Level: Senior LevelYears of Relevant Experience: 5+ YearsDepartment: SoftwareReporting Organization: Our CompanyEmployment Type: Full-timeLocation: KochiJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst who will bridge business requirements with agile project execution, including occasional Scrum Master responsibilities.The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies when needed, and ensuring the successful, timely delivery of projects.This role involves acting as a liaison between stakeholders and the development team, analyzing requirements, and guiding the team towards delivering value-driven solutions.Key Responsibilities:- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, translating them into detailed specifications for IT teams.- Process Analysis: Evaluate current business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop effective solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and provide actionable recommendations to decision-makers.- Project Coordination: Work with project teams to ensure requirements are accurately implemented and manage change requests throughout the project lifecycle.- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between business units, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.- Solution Design & Testing: Develop and test business solutions, ensuring they meet quality standards and align with business objectives before deployment.- Documentation Management: Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business cases, process flows, functional specifications, user manuals, and testing protocol- Scrum Facilitation: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, manage sprint planning, and support agile practices within the team to ensure timely and effective delivery.Required Skills & Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field- Proven experience (5+ Years) as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst role, with expertise in documentation, application testing, team management, and requirements analysis- Strong understanding of business processes, data modelling, and agile project management methodologies- Proficiency in using data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI)- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring team members- Knowledge of Agile project management methodologiesPreferred Skills & Qualifications:- Masters degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) is a plus- Experience in the maritime industry is a plus- Familiarity with business process modelling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucid chart) and/or programming languagesKey Competencies:- Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team to achieve high performance.- Analytical Thinking: Expertise in analysing complex data to drive business decisions.- Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying issues and effectively managing resolutions.- Adaptability: Ability to handle a dynamic environment, balancing multiple projects and priorities.- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in all aspects of documentation, testing, and data analysis.- Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork (ref:iimjobs.com)
