Position OverviewTheConsultant Anesthetistwill be responsible for administering anesthesia and providing perioperative medical care to patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures. The role also involves pain management and participation in emergency resuscitation efforts. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and determine the best anesthesia plan. Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia safely and effectively. Monitor patients’ vital signs during surgery and in the recovery phase. Manage post-operative pain and critical care anesthesia cases. Respond promptly to medical emergencies, including cardiac arrests. Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and ICU teams for patient management. Maintain proper records of anesthesia and patient data. Ensure all anesthesia equipment and drugs are maintained and ready for use. Supervise and mentor anesthesia technicians and junior doctors. Ensure compliance with hospital safety and NABH / JCI protocols. Qualifications & ExperienceMBBS + MD / DNB (Anesthesiology)from a recognized institution. Valid registration with Medical Council (MCI / State Council). Minimum5 years of post-MD experiencein a multi-speciality setup preferred. Exposure to ICU, trauma, and emergency cases desirable. Key SkillsExpertise in airway management and advanced life support. Strong decision-making and crisis management abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
