The Microsoft Fabric Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, a unified data and analytics platform. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their data needs, developing scalable data platforms and analytics solutions, and providing guidance on best practices for data management and analysis.  


Keys Skills & Experience:  

  • Strong experience with Azure Data Factory and ETL Pipelines 
  • Strong experience with Azure Synapse, Data Warehouse and Lakehouse implementations 
  • Strong experience with Notebooks and Spark 
  • Background in architecting and implementing enterprise data platforms and data management practise including Gold, Silver, Bronze architecture for downstream use 
  • Hands on experience in cloud-based big data technologies including Azure, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric/Power BI; using languages such as SQL, PySpark DAX, Python, Power Query 
  • Understanding of metadata driven architecture 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate clearly with key stakeholders and other developers 
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies and mentor other developers in the team 
  • DP-600 Certification highly desirable 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Collaborate with clients to gather and analyse business requirements related to data and analytics. 
  • Design and implement data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including data integration, transformation, and visualisation. 
  • Develop and optimise data models, data pipelines, and ETL processes within Microsoft Fabric. 
  • Utilise Microsoft Fabric's capabilities to create interactive dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions. 
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across the data landscape. 
  • Provide guidance on best practices for data governance, security, and compliance. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration, processing, and visualisation. 
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate clients on Microsoft Fabric features and functionalities. 
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in Microsoft Fabric and related technologies.
