The Associate Dean – Academic Affairs is a senior academic leader responsible for advancing the academic vision, teaching excellence, and scholarly engagement of the School of Liberal Arts & Humanities. The role ensures that the School’s programs maintain global standards of quality, innovation, and relevance, while fostering an inclusive and intellectually vibrant environment for students and faculty.Key ResponsibilitiesA. Academic Leadership & Governance- Support the Dean in implementing the School’s strategic plan with a focus on academic excellence. - Oversee curriculum design, review, and enhancement to align with international benchmarks and industry relevance. - Lead accreditation, compliance, and quality assurance processes (NAAC, UGC, QS, etc.). - Chair or co-chair key academic committees within the School.B. Teaching, Learning & Pedagogy- Promote and implement innovative teaching-learning methodologies, including technology-enabled and experiential approaches. - Establish academic standards for course delivery, student evaluation, and faculty performance. - Champion interdisciplinary and challenge-based learning within the Liberal Arts ecosystem. - Mentor faculty in pedagogy, assessment, and curriculum innovation.C. Research & Scholarship- Encourage faculty-led research, publications, and collaborations across disciplines. - Facilitate the integration of student research and independent study projects into the curriculum. - Support grant applications, research funding, and partnerships with global institutions.D. Student Success & Engagement- Ensure academic advising, mentorship, and counseling support for student growth and retention. - Foster student participation in conferences, debates, publications, and global exchange programs. - Oversee mechanisms for continuous feedback and improvement in student learning outcomes.E. External Engagement & Partnerships- Represent the School in academic and professional forums, both nationally and internationally. - Build partnerships with industry, research bodies, and cultural organizations to enhance student opportunities. - Work closely with global partners for exchange programs, joint research, and dual-degree offerings.Qualifications & Experience- Education: Ph.D. (mandatory) in a relevant field within the Liberal Arts & Humanities. - Experience: Minimum 12–15 years of academic experience with at least 5 years in a leadership/administrative role. - Strong track record of teaching excellence, scholarly publications, and research contributions. - Familiarity with global higher education standards, accreditation frameworks, and curriculum innovation. - Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills.
