Assistant Professor

Qualification: Masters/ PhD

Experience: Freshers/ min 3+ yrs

Reporting to: Principal/Dean

General Responsibilities:

• Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
• Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
• Minimum 20 hours teaching load per week.
• Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.)
• Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback
• Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
• Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
• Observe and understand students' behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.
• To set, evaluate, and mark students' course work, homework and other assignments promptly, and to record marks on College systems as requested, in accordance with the College Assessment and Marking Policy and procedures.
• To carry out formative and summative assessments as appropriate.
• To complete associated and administrative tasks to deadlines, as directed.
• To induct students appropriately, to provide academic advice, counseling, educational guidance, and tutorial support to students, including individual learning plans as directed.
• To supervise students' attendance and behaviour and follow up as appropriate, in accordance with the College Behaviour and Attendance policies.
• To undertake any reasonable duties as required.
