Job Title: Backend Developer (AR/VR Furniture Platform)Location: Hyderabad (Hybrid) Company: Skyfall Productions / AR Furniture Startup Experience: 2–6 yearsAbout the RoleWe are building an immersive AR/VR platform that allows users to visualize furniture in their homes using Meta Quest, Apple Vision Pro, and mobile AR. We are looking for a strong Backend Developer to architect and build the core backend infrastructure powering the product catalog, user data, 3D model delivery, and real-time features.You will develop APIs, manage databases, optimize asset delivery, and ensure the platform is secure, scalable, and fast.Key ResponsibilitiesAPI DevelopmentBuild RESTful or GraphQL APIs for:Product catalogUser profiles & authentication3D asset deliveryWishlist, saved rooms, and layout storageIntegrate with Unity & visionOS apps seamlessly.Database & Data ManagementDesign and manage scalable databases.Create schemas for:Furniture itemsCategory structuresVariant metadataRoom design dataImplement efficient caching to reduce latency.Cloud InfrastructureDeploy and manage backend services on:AWS / Google Cloud / AzureOr Firebase/Supabase for MVPHandle:Cloud storage for 3D models (GLB/GLTF)CDN for fast global deliveryAsset optimization & compression pipelinesSecurity & PerformanceEnsure secure access, token management, and encrypted data handling.Optimize API performance for real-time AR/VR requirements.Build scalable backend that supports thousands of daily users.IntegrationsImplement integrations with:E-commerce platforms (Shopify/WooCommerce)Payment gateways (Razorpay/Stripe)Analytics & logging systemsCreate admin dashboard backend for furniture uploads & management.CollaborationWork with Unity and visionOS developers for data syncing.Coordinate with 3D team to manage large 3D files efficiently.Collaborate with UI/UX and Product for feature implementation.Required SkillsStrong experience with Node.js (Express/NestJS) or Python (FastAPI/Django).Database experience with:PostgreSQL / MySQLRedis (for caching)Experience with cloud platforms:AWS (S3, Lambda, EC2, CloudFront)Or Firebase/SupabaseKnowledge of:Authentication systems (JWT, OAuth)WebSockets or real-time APIsAsset handling (large file optimization)Bonus Skills (Good to Have)Experience handling 3D asset pipelines.Knowledge of microservices architecture.Experience with GraphQL.Understanding of Unity networking or multiplayer systems.DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker).Who You AreStrong problem solver with a product-oriented mindset.Passionate about scalable backend systems.Able to work independently and own entire backend modules.Comfortable in fast-paced startup environments.Why Join Us?Work on India’s first large-scale AR/VR furniture visualization system.Build backend infrastructure for cutting-edge spatial computing.High ownership of architecture and technology decisions.Opportunity to grow into Lead Backend or CTO role.If you want, I can also write JDs for: ✔ 3D Artist ✔ visionOS Developer ✔ Computer Vision Engineer ✔ QA Tester
