ROLE DESCRIPTION: Design and develop Android applications with guidance from senior developers Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code under guidance Own and deliver assigned stories and tasks Collaborate with team members to implement new features Debug and fix issues in existing applications and resolve production issues proactively Support code quality and follow best practices Learn and apply new tools and technologies to improve development Provide basic support for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks Translate business requirements into scalable application architectures Assess feasibility and scalability of front-end solutions; collaborate with business and product teams Build sustainable and accessibility-compliant solutions Address and prevent long-term technical debt Research and develop proof-of-concepts and innovative customer interaction ideas Foster a learning culture by sharing best practices and lessons learned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Technical Skills: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science / information science. Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in Android development using Kotlin . Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON for app integration Solid understanding of Android SDK and core components (Activities, Fragments, Services) Hands on with AWS (1 yr mandatory) Experience with Core Data, Push Notifications, and App Lifecycle Management. Experience with Agile methodologies, Test-Driven Development ( TDD ), and Lean practices Understanding of MVVM or Viper or MVC architecture pattern. Familiarity with Android Architecture Components (View Model, Live Data, Navigation) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Soft skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Detail-oriented problem solver Should be able to take ownership of the tasks for the team Self-driven with effective time management and multitasking abilities Evaluates emerging technologies to support future business needs Maintains enterprise-wide perspective in solution development
