As a Senior Category Manager- Apparel, you will be responsible for developing site merchandising strategies leading to Top Line and Bottom Line growth in the category. As a successful category manager, you will combine an understanding of site merchandising best practices and analytics, with a passion for user experience to optimize performance continuously.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify, plan and implement new initiatives that will help meet and/or exceed company revenue and profitability goals.
  • Pitch, negotiate and onboard new vendors.
  • Conceptualize and create the monthly promotion calendar, aligning with the sales targets.
  • Build strong communication channels at all levels and manage towards a growth plan for the vendors.
  • Analyze & Strategic Planning for the category growth.
  • Responsible for sales planning, meeting monthly sales and GMV targets.
  • Manage partner-vendor communication.
  • Co-ordinating with external and internal stakeholders for planning and execution.
  • Analyze Sales trends vs product attributes/ designs & differentiate Best Sellers from Bottom sellers for ecommerce buys.
  • Implement and monitor product and marketing calendar on the website. Plan marketing mailers.
  • Primary responsibility of margins, discounts and MRP.
  • Analyze click through rates on banners and suggest ways to improve it.
  • Maintain the hygiene of the website and keep on checking the products listed.

Preference:

  • A bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Fashion or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Category Management.
  • Good understanding of the trends and should be good with numbers and strategizing.
  • Excellent management skills and varying product services. Ability to handle work pressure.
