Senior Power BI Developer

We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our growing team. As a Senior Power BI Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing Power BI solutions to meet the business requirements of our organization. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver high-quality data visualizations and insights.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain complex Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize business data and KPIs.
  2. Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  3. Design and implement efficient data models and ETL processes to support Power BI solutions.
  4. Optimize Power BI queries, data models, and reports for performance and scalability.
  5. Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices within Power BI solutions.
  6. Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on Power BI development best practices.
  7. Stay abreast of the latest Power BI features, updates, and industry trends.
  8. Collaborate with other teams, such as data engineering and business analytics, to integrate Power BI solutions into broader data ecosystems.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role.
  3. Expertise in Power BI Desktop, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and report development.
  4. Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
  5. Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
  6. Experience with advanced Power BI features such as custom visuals, Power Query M language, and Power BI Service.
  7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  9. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  10. Microsoft Power BI certification is a plus.
