Examples of recent engagements include supporting a global payment service provider identify acquisition targets in the U.S. and Latin America, conducting the strategic and business due diligence of a leading fintech that was being acquired by a top-tier U.S. private equity firm, and developing the global omnichannel strategy for one of the world’s largest acquirers.KoreFusion offers unique insights across two primary business lines:§ Business and Strategic Advisory Services: KoreFusion works with executive teams of both established companies and venture-backed firms to help them think through their most critical management decisions about business growth and strategic priorities.Our services include corporate strategy, business unit strategy, new product development and launch, build/buy/partner analysis, market expansion and go-to-market strategy and board support, among others.§ M&A Advisory Services: KoreFusion works with investors when conducting analysis and due diligence on investments and acquisitions in the payments and financial technology industries.Our services include business and strategic due diligence, competitive intelligence, sell-side preparation, IPO Support, target identification, and post-acquisition strategy, among others.Position DescriptionKoreFusion is looking for an Analyst with 1-2 years of prior experience in consulting and strategy, ideally with exposure to the Financial Services and Tech industries that is looking for more specialization, more global exposure, and a more entrepreneurial opportunity with a growing global strategy firm.The candidate will be expected to:· Support on research activities and external industry interactions- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on market trends, economic indicators, and competitive landscapes in fintech, payments, and banking. - Provide quick-turnaround research support for client presentations and reports.· Data organization and analysis:- Compile, clean, and structure data into usable spreadsheets and databases. - Summarize findings into fact-based reports, tables, and charts that can be used in client projects.· Providing insights and guidance on client engagements in proximity with the project team.· Manage appropriate times and deliver by deadlines.· Support the firm’s development of intellectual capital.· Produce high quality client-ready presentation material, including but not limited to PowerPoint slides and Excel workbooks.· Travel on minimal notice: 10%-30% travel may be required.Desired Attributes/Qualifications include:· Education: Undergraduate degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, International Relations, or a related field.· Experience: 1-2 years of prior experience in Consulting and Strategy, ideally with exposure to the Financial Services and Tech industries. Relevant internships, coursework, or research experience in business, finance, or data analysis is a plus as well.· Language Fluency: Fluency in English; fluency in additional languages is a plus.· Technical Skills:- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (sorting, pivot tables, basic formulas). - Ability to navigate and extract information from databases, government reports, and industry research. - Experience with data visualization tools (PowerPoint, Tableau, or Google Data Studio) is a plus.· Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret and organize complex datasets and extract key insights.· Research Skills: Strong ability to find, verify, and document reliable facts and figures from online sources.· Attention to Detail: High accuracy in fact-checking and data validation.· Communication Skills: Ability to summarize data findings clearly and concisely.· Cultural Fit: Curious, proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment.KoreFusion is proudly an equal opportunity employer.
