Job description:

 

  • Preparation and Excavation: Oversee the preparation and excavation for the overall project.
  • Drawing Review and Coordination: Study all execution drawings. If any corrections are required, communicate with the project manager and consult with the relevant consultant to obtain the correct drawings.
  • Site Execution: Execute all activities on-site as per the approved drawings.
  • Quality Estimation and Material Procurement: Estimate the required quality of materials and schedule their procurement.
  • Bar Bending Schedule Preparation: Prepare the bar bending schedule for slabs, columns, and beams.
  • Quantity Calculation and Indenting: Calculate all quantities required for indenting in hand copy and ERP, ensuring the indent matches the required quantities.
  • BBC Preparation for Steel: Prepare the BBC (Bill of Bar Cutting) for steel before cutting and thoroughly study all RCC and related drawings.
  • Daily Site Checks: Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with the drawings.
  • Material Purchasing and Decision Making: Oversee material purchasing and make decisions in coordination with the contractor.
  • Drawing Follow-Up with Architect/Client: Follow up with the architect/client to obtain any drawings needed for execution.
  • Drawing Study and Quantity Estimation: Study the drawings and figure out the required quantities.
  • Contractor and Purchase Manager Follow-Up: Maintain regular follow-up with contractors and the purchasing manager regarding materials.
  • Material Requirement Calculation: Calculate the material requirements based on quantities and send the details to the purchasing department.
  • Material Usage Control: Monitor material usage and minimize wastage by ensuring the quantities and quality match the purchase order.
  • Quality Control of Materials: Ensure the quality of raw materials and verify that the work quality meets the standards specified in the work order (including material contracts).
  • Material Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of all received goods and material consumption using GRN (Goods Receipt Note) and issue slips.
  • Material Verification: Check the quality and quantity of received materials to ensure they meet indent and project requirements.
