We are looking Lead Data Engineer for one of the MNC Client


Role: Data Engineer

Experience: 7-14 Years

Location: Bangalore, Pune

Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days


JD:


  • Data Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models that meet data processing, analytics, and reporting needs with the specific focus on cloud-based data platforms, preferably AWS S3 based data storage
  • Create and maintain data architecture artifacts, including entity-relationship diagrams, data dictionaries and schemas in tools such as ERWIN
  • Assist in maintaining data dictionaries/catalogs/data lineage
  • Experience on creating physical models optimized for performance, scalability and usability, on AWS S3, Snowflake and RDBMS databases
  • Should have a sound knowledge on data modeling methodologies like Normalized models (3NF), Dimensional modeling, Data vault 2.0 etc
  • Partner with business analysts, data architects and developers to understand data requirements.
  • Work with cloud data platform architects, developers or data engineers to ensure the developed model is optimized for performance, scalability and usability.
  • Establish or adhere to enforce data modeling best practices and standards, ensuring consistency and accuracy in data representation.
  • Ability to present and negotiate with stakeholders on data model design decisions and trade-offs.
  • Should have technical knowledge on cloud data services like S3 object stores, data lakes, Lakehouse, data warehouses etc.
  • Good understanding of various data and file formats on cloud, preferably AWS
  • Knowledge on delta tables or iceberg


  • Experience on file-based schema modeling on Big Data platform such as Hadoop, Hive
  • Knowledge of data quality and data governance principles.
  • Retail Banking domain knowledge is preferable
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 to 14 years of experience in data modeling.
  • Expertise in data modeling and database design concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to data modeling and platform specific challenges.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with IT and business team to understand data requirements and data relationships
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control systems, and data warehousing best practices is a plus.
