SAP ALM Consultant

Job Description :- Minimum 8-10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Application Lifecycle Management, specifically with SAP Solution Manager (7.1 or 7.2).- Proven experience in implementing and configuring SAP Cloud ALM,CHARM, Change management in ALM, Project Management in ALM, ALM technical Monitoring.- Minimum 6-8+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration and operations.- Experience with at least one full SAP system lifecycle implementation (e.g., S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP GRP).Technical Skills :- Deep expertise in SAP Solution Manager 7.2 modules: CHARM, System Monitoring/Diagnostics, BPMon, SolDoc, DVM/CCLM and ITSM.- Working knowledge and configuration experience with SAP Cloud ALM for both Implementation and Operations.- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and general SAP ecosystem architecture.- Familiarity with test automation tools like Tricentis is a plus.- Strong knowledge of database technologies (e.g., HANA, Oracle, MS SQL) and operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows) as they relate to SAP.- Proficiency in Managed System Setup (SolMan and CALM), Authorization Concepts, and understanding of REST APIs/OData for integration.- SAP LandscapeStrong understanding of SAP product stack, including S/4HANA (On-premises& Cloud), SAP BTP, and other SAP Cloud Solutions.- ALM Tool Expertise Expert-level proficiency in SAP Solution Manager 7.2 (Installation, Configuration, Administration, and Functional Use). Mandatoryhands-on implementation and configuration experience with SAP Cloud ALM.- Strong knowledge of the SAP Activate Methodology and its enablement through SAP ALM Solution Manager (SolMan) Expertise- Configure and Maintain SolMan: Perform full-lifecycle configuration and administration of SAP Solution Manager 7.2.- Change Control Management (CHARM): Implement, customize, and support CHARM for managing transports, including dual-path and retrofit scenarios, to ensure proper governance of changes across the SAP landscape.- Monitoring and Diagnostics: Set up and manage System Monitoring, Technical Monitoring, Business Process Monitoring (BPMon), and Root Cause Analysis to proactively identify and resolve performance and availability issues.- IT Service Management (ITSM): Configure and utilize the Service Desk for incident and request management.- Solution Documentation (SolDoc): Maintain and manage solution documentation for business processes and technical landscapes.SAP Cloud ALM (CALM) & Transition :- CALM Implementation and Strategy: Lead the strategic roadmap and hands-onimplementation of SAP Cloud ALM, particularly for SAP S/4HANA and cloud applications (e.g., SuccessFactors, Ariba).- Cloud ALM for Implementation: Utilize CALM to support agile project execution, including Requirements Management, Project and Task Management, and orchestration of Test Management (often integrating with tools like Tricentis Tosca).- Cloud ALM for Operations: Configure and leverage CALM functionalities for continuous operations, such as Health Monitoring, Integration & Exception Monitoring, and Job & Automation Monitoring.- Transition Management: Support the transition and feature comparison from legacy SolMan functionalities (like CHARM) to their modern equivalents in CALM (like Change Enablement and Deployment Orchestration).General ALM and Technical Consulting :- SAP Basis & System Administration: Apply strong technical skills in SAP Basis administration for managed system setup, system refreshes, kernel upgrades, and overall system performance tuning.- Integration: Ensure seamless integration between SolMan, CALM, managed SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, Fiori, BTP), and external third-party ALM/ITSM tools.- Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate workshops, gather business requirements, and translate them into technical ALM solutions.- Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and conduct training for internal teams and end-users on ALM tools and processes.
