Description :Position : Senior SAP EWM ABAP DeveloperLocation : ChennaiJob Type : Full-timeJob Summary :We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP EWM ABAP Developer to join the product team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing critical enhancements within the SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) module for our International Market Group (IMG) Parts Distribution Centers (PDCs).The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in ABAP development combined with a strong functional understanding of SAP EWM processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver custom solutions that drive efficiency, innovation, and seamless integration of our warehouse operations, directly impacting our Service Parts Management and Outbound Logistics.Key Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and enhance custom reports, interfaces, and applications using ABAP within the SAP EWM landscape.- Work extensively with EWM-specific objects, including queue management, the warehouse monitor, Post Processing Framework (PPF), and the RF framework.- Analyze functional requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into detailed technical specifications.- Develop custom enhancements using User Exits, BADI, and Enhancement Spots, and build interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, and Web Services.- Develop and support interfaces between SAP EWM and ECC/S4HANA systems.- Perform performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting of custom developments to ensure optimal system performance.- Conduct comprehensive testing, including unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).- Create and maintain thorough technical documentation, test scripts, and configuration guides to ensure knowledge transfer and best practices.- Provide critical support during project go-lives and post-go-live issue resolution.- Collaborate closely with functional consultants, testers, and business users to ensure solutions are delivered successfully and meet business needs.Required Qualifications :Education : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience :- A minimum of 6+ years of experience in the IT industry.- A minimum of 4+ years of dedicated experience in software development.Skills :- Advanced proficiency in ABAP development (ABAP Objects, Reports, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits).- Strong functional understanding of core SAP EWM processes, including inbound/outbound operations, warehouse tasks, physical inventory, and RF integration.Preferred Qualifications :- 5+ years of hands-on experience specifically in SAP EWM ABAP development.- Proven experience in a full-lifecycle SAP EWM implementation project.- Experience integrating SAP EWM with other SAP modules such as Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP), and Warehouse Management (WM).- Experience with SAP HANA, including ABAP on HANA concepts.- Demonstrated experience in warehouse process design, including inbound, outbound, internal processes, inventory management, and warehouse optimization.
