Dispatch Network is hiring a Tech Lead to build the tech stack for Last Mile 2.0


Dispatch is at an inflection point: moving from proven MVP stacks to on-ground pilots to national scale. This is where you come in.

Role Overview:


As our Technical Lead Engineer, you will be a key engineering hire working alongside the CPTO and co-founders. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where you will:

• Build core systems from scratch (backend, APIs, orchestration engines, infra).

• Shape architecture decisions that will define Dispatch for years to come.

• Move fast from pilot to scale (500 riders → 50,000 riders).

• Work across the stack: backend (Go, Python, Node), infra (AWS, Terraform, Redis, OSRM), and app integrations (React Native, APIs).

• Influence technical culture, standards, and early team-building.


This is not a pure “developer” role — it’s an opportunity to be a co-creator of the platform.

Key Responsibilities:


• Core Systems Development: Own and build services like Orchestrator, droneAI APIs, and rider ops tooling.

• Infra & DevOps: Deploy and manage AWS infra (RDS, Redis, OSRM servers, ECS/Fargate, VPCs, CI/CD pipelines).

• AI/ML Integration: Productionize demand prediction, rider assignment, and fleet balancing models.

• 0 → 1 Execution: Translate architecture into production code, keeping things simple and reliable.

• Ownership & Leadership: Define best practices, review code, and grow into a leadership role as the team scales.

What We’re Looking For:


• 5–8 years of experience building and shipping backend systems (Go and Python strongly preferred).

• Strong grasp of distributed systems, microservices, and API design.

• Experience with AWS stack: EC2, RDS/Postgres, Redis, networking basics (VPC, NAT, IGW).

• Comfort with DevOps (Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, ECS).

• Bonus: Geospatial systems (H3, OSRM, Redis Geo), real-time platforms, or ML inference integration.

• Entrepreneurial mindset: excited about ownership, ambiguity, and speed over perfection.
