ARCNet is a non-profit applied research initiative inspired by the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) and based at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). Operating under ARTPARK, and working closely with the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Government of Karnataka, ARCNet is dedicated to addressing real-world challenges through foundational research and development.
About the Role
We are undertaking a research study focused on understanding and addressing the rise of chronic health disorders among young adults (18-25 years old) in urban settings. Our primary data collection will take place in New Delhi and Bengaluru, and the research will involve analyzing predictor variables related to lifestyle factors. In this role, you will contribute to identifying correlations between clinical conditions and lifestyle mechanisms, ultimately informing strategies to improve public health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in data collection, clinical assessment, and interpretation of findings related to gastrointestinal and related chronic health conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify significant lifestyle predictors and correlate them with disease mechanisms.
- Contribute to the development of research methodologies, analysis frameworks, and documentation.
- Prepare summaries, reports, and presentations for stakeholders, including government, NGOs, and academic partners.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in the 3rd to 5th year of an MBBS program.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical assignments, with a focus on gastrointestinal disorders preferred.
- Strong analytical, observational, and communication skills.
- Adaptability and willingness to engage with emerging technological approaches in research.
