Responsibilities: - The Analyst at Aldrich Capital Partners will be responsible for supporting and leading critical elements of the investment evaluation process for the fund, including assessment of potential new investment opportunities, analysis for follow-on financings, supporting the portfolio companies, and exit transactions for current portfolio companies. - Core responsibilities include developing an investment case from the analysis of the target company, market, and competition, along with building a detailed financial model reflecting the growth potential and performance of the opportunity. - Working as a core part of the Fund's investment team, the Analyst will be actively involved in all areas of growth capital investing and portfolio company management. Central to the position is the ability to contribute passion and creative ideas to support innovative companies pursuing positive outcomes.1. Assessments of both new and follow-on investment opportunities:a. Identify and evaluate potential new investments for ACP in a wide variety of sectors with the capability to produce strong returnsb. Assisting with the formulation of investment themes and research-based insight into the investment landscapec. Track and manage the pipeline of new potential investmentsd. Perform detailed market research, including competition, review of technology, industry trends, clinical, and regulatory due diligencee. Develop detailed financial models to enable and support investment decision-making,g along with preparing pro-forma cap tables, conducting exit-scenario waterfall and valuation analysisf. Draft investment cases & business plans to support the process of making new investments2. Analysis to support existing portfolio company growth and exita. Work alongside ACP investment professionals serving on portfolio companies' boards as well as directly with senior management teams of ACP portfolio companies on specific strategic initiativesb. Focus on analytical assessments, including operational analysis, competitive positioning, ROI for new marketing or product development initiatives, Pricing, and COGS analysisc. Support portfolio company with identifying bolt-on acquisitions, monthly financial assessment, and reporting, preparing annual budgets, etc.3. Others: Quarterly portfolio valuation & LP updates, Business Development initiatives, etc.Preferred Qualifications:- Degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field- Minimum 2 years of experience in IB, VC, Consulting, or other relevant roles- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills- Advanced Excel modelling skills- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Superior work ethic and attention to detail (ref:iimjobs.com)
