Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Cloud API Developer with strong skills in Java, Spring Boot, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of professional experience in developing and maintaining cloud APIs, building scalable applications, and working with GCP infrastructure and services.


The role involves working on cutting-edge technologies to develop high-performance APIs and manage cloud infrastructure. You will also support CI/CD pipeline management, cloud monitoring, and infrastructure maintenance on GCP services.

Primary Responsibilities :

Cloud API Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based RESTful APIs for various applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the APIs are scalable, secure, and performant.

- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code adhering to coding standards and best practices.

- Troubleshoot and optimize existing APIs and services to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.

Java & Spring Boot Development :

- Utilize Java and Spring Boot frameworks to develop robust backend services and microservices.

- Design and implement RESTful web services and API endpoints using the Spring Boot framework.

- Apply best practices for exception handling, logging, and performance tuning in Java-based applications.

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Development :

- Work extensively with Google Cloud services including Cloud Run, Tekton, Cloud Functions, and other GCP tools to deploy, monitor, and scale applications.

- Manage and maintain GCP infrastructure, including provisioning, configuration, and deployment of services.

- Implement, configure, and optimize cloud-native technologies and services to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

- Ensure applications deployed on GCP are optimized for cost, performance, and scalability.

SQL & PostgreSQL :

- Design and optimize SQL queries to interact with relational databases, primarily PostgreSQL.

- Ensure that database schemas and queries are optimized for performance, security, and scalability.

- Experience in database tuning, indexing, and query optimization.

Pipeline Management :

- Work with development teams to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions.

- Automate the deployment process to ensure smooth integration and deployment of cloud-based applications.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to pipeline performance and execution.

- Maintain and update the pipeline to reflect changes in the codebase or infrastructure.

Infrastructure Support :

- Provide ongoing support for cloud infrastructure, ensuring services like Cloud Run and Tekton are up and running smoothly.

- Implement infrastructure-as-code practices using GCP tools.

- Perform routine maintenance and configuration updates to GCP services as required.

Cloud Monitoring and Troubleshooting :

- Implement monitoring and logging solutions for applications deployed in the cloud using Google Cloud Monitoring tools.

- Troubleshoot production issues, identify bottlenecks, and improve overall application performance and reliability.

- Provide timely resolution to incidents and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure minimal downtime.

Skills & Experience Required :

Core Skills :

- Java Development : Proficiency in Java, including frameworks like Spring Boot for building scalable and secure applications.

- Cloud API Development : Solid experience in building and maintaining cloud-based RESTful APIs.

- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) : Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services, including Cloud Run, Tekton, Cloud Functions, and GCP storage solutions.

- PostgreSQL : Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

- CI/CD Pipeline : Experience working with GitHub Actions and managing continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.

Preferred Skills :

- Cloud Monitoring : Experience with GCP Monitoring tools to track performance, reliability, and availability of cloud services.

- Support for Cloud Run, Tekton, GitHub Actions : Familiarity with the support and maintenance of specific technologies like Cloud Run, Tekton, and GitHub Actions.

- Infrastructure Management : Experience in cloud infrastructure management, including configuring, scaling, and maintaining various services in Google Cloud Platform.

- Automation Tools : Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code practices and tools such as Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager is a plus.

Experience :

- 3-5 years of professional experience in Cloud API development, Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Prior experience working in agile teams and participating in the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment.

Key Competencies :

- Problem Solving : Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in cloud environments.

- Collaboration : Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team with a shared focus on delivering quality solutions.

- Communication : Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, stakeholders, and clients.

- Adaptability : Ability to learn and adapt to new cloud technologies and evolving project requirements.

Education :

- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but relevant work experience is equally important.
