SAP RAR Senior Lead

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP RAR (Revenue Accounting and Reporting) Senior Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the implementation, configuration, and enhancement of SAP RAR modules to meet business requirements. This role requires deep technical expertise in SAP RAR, as well as strong leadership and communication skills to guide project teams and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Implementation Leadership: Lead the end-to-end implementation of SAP RAR modules, including scoping, design, configuration, testing, and deployment phases. Ensure alignment with business objectives and requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

2. Configuration and Customization: Configure SAP RAR modules to support revenue recognition processes, accounting policies, and reporting requirements. Customize functionalities as needed to address unique business scenarios and regulatory compliance.

3. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements related to revenue recognition, contract management, billing, and financial reporting. Translate business needs into technical solutions within the SAP RAR framework.

4. Solution Design: Develop comprehensive solution designs and documentation for SAP RAR implementations and enhancements. Define data models, business rules, workflows, and integration points with other SAP modules and external systems.

5. Testing and Quality Assurance: Plan, coordinate, and execute unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing for SAP RAR configurations and customizations. Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of financial data and reporting outputs.

6. Training and Knowledge Transfer: Provide training and support to end-users, super-users, and project team members on SAP RAR functionalities, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques. Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to empower users to leverage SAP RAR effectively.

7. Change Management: Manage change requests, enhancements, and updates to SAP RAR configurations and functionalities. Evaluate the impact of changes on business processes, systems, and reporting outputs. Ensure proper documentation and communication of changes to stakeholders.

8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and enhancement within the SAP RAR environment. Stay updated on industry best practices, SAP updates, and regulatory changes related to revenue accounting and reporting.

9. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, IT, and business operations, to ensure alignment of SAP RAR solutions with organizational goals and objectives. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

• Minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in SAP RAR implementation, configuration, and support.

• In-depth knowledge of SAP RAR functionalities, including revenue recognition methods, contract management, billing, and reporting.

• Strong understanding of revenue accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 15, ASC 606) and their implications on SAP RAR design and configuration.

• Proficiency in SAP RAR integration with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP FI, SAP SD) and external systems.

• Experience leading SAP RAR projects or workstreams, including team management, project planning, and stakeholder engagement.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet business needs.

• SAP RAR certification is preferred.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance is a plus.

• Knowledge of agile methodologies and project management frameworks (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) is desirable
