Job Overview :

As a Security Professional, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's information security and network security measures. You will play a crucial role in protecting our systems, data, and infrastructure from security threats and vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities and Duties :

Information Security :

- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining information security policies, procedures, and standards.

- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security risks.

- Monitor and respond to security incidents, including analyzing logs and conducting forensic investigations.

Network Security :

- Configure and manage network security devices, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.

- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and security threats.

- Collaborate with the network team to design and implement secure network architectures.

Access Control and Authentication :

- Manage user access controls, permissions, and authentication mechanisms.

- Ensure proper identity and access management (IAM) practices are in place.

- Implement multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions.

Security Awareness and Training :

- Promote a culture of security awareness and provide security training to employees.

- Keep abreast of the latest security trends, threats, and best practices.

Compliance and Reporting :

- Assist in ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 27001).

- Generate and maintain security reports and documentation.

Incident Response :

- Participate in incident response planning and execution.

- Help develop and improve incident response procedures.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.

- 2-3 years of experience in information security or network security roles.

- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS), standards, and best practices.

- Proficiency in using security tools and software (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus).

- Knowledge of network protocols, routing, and firewall rules.

- Understanding of cloud security concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure,Oracle).

- Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)) are a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
