Head of Pathology / Senior Pathologist

Role Overview\n

Path-iQ is seeking an experienced and highly respected Head of Pathology / Senior Pathologist to provide clinical, scientific, and professional leadership across our pathology network.

\n

The role is designed for a senior pathologist who can contribute expertise in diagnostic pathology while helping shape the development of digital pathology, AI-assisted pathology workflows, research, education, and international pathology collaboration.

\n

The successful candidate will work closely with Path-iQ's medical, scientific, product, and technology teams and contribute to the development of a global pathology ecosystem.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Pathology Leadership\n

• \n
• Provide senior clinical and scientific guidance across pathology-related initiatives.\n
• Contribute expertise in histopathology, surgical pathology, cytopathology, oncopathology, or relevant subspecialties.\n
• Support clinical review and expert discussion of complex pathology cases where appropriate.\n
• Help establish pathology quality standards, workflows, protocols, and best practices.\n
• Participate in multidisciplinary discussions and expert pathology consultations.\n
• Provide professional guidance on the clinical relevance and appropriate use of pathology technologies.\n

Digital Pathology\n

• \n
• Support the development and evaluation of digital pathology workflows.\n
• Provide expert feedback on whole slide imaging, digital pathology viewers, annotations, reporting, collaboration, and case-sharing workflows.\n
• Help define requirements for pathology-focused digital tools and platforms.\n
• Contribute to the development of scalable digital pathology workflows for laboratories and pathologists.\n

AI & Computational Pathology\n

• Advise Path-iQ on the clinical application of AI and machine learning in pathology.\n
• Evaluate AI-assisted pathology models, image analysis tools, and computational pathology workflows.\n
• Provide expert input on clinical validation, limitations, usability, and responsible deployment of AI-assisted pathology technologies.\n
• Help identify clinically meaningful opportunities for AI-assisted diagnosis, research, education, and workflow optimization.\n
• Collaborate with data scientists, AI researchers, and technology teams to translate pathology requirements into practical solutions.\n

Research & Innovation\n

• Support pathology research initiatives and collaborative research programs.\n
• Contribute to research publications, abstracts, presentations, and scientific communications.\n
• Identify emerging developments in pathology, digital pathology, molecular diagnostics, and AI.\n
• Support collaborations with universities, hospitals, laboratories, researchers, and professional organizations.\n
• Participate in Path-iQ research and innovation initiatives.\n

Education & Professional Development\n

• Contribute to pathology education and continuing professional development initiatives.\n
• Participate in webinars, lectures, case discussions, conferences, and educational programs.\n
• Support the development of pathology learning resources and expert content.\n
• Mentor and engage with pathologists and pathology trainees within the Path-iQ network.\n

Global Pathology Network\n

• Help develop and strengthen Path-iQ's international network of pathologists and pathology institutions.\n
• Establish professional relationships with leading pathology departments, laboratories, academic institutions, and healthcare organizations.\n
• Represent Path-iQ at relevant scientific, academic, and professional forums.\n
• Support international collaboration between pathologists across regions and subspecialties.\n
• Contribute to the development of a trusted global community for pathology collaboration.\n

Qualifications\n

• MD, DNB, FRCPath, FCAP, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Pathology.

\n

• Appropriate medical registration in the relevant jurisdiction.

\n

• Significant experience in diagnostic pathology.

\n

• Strong experience in histopathology and/or a relevant pathology subspecialty.
