**Role Description: Yoga Teacher**
As a Yoga Teacher, your primary responsibility is to lead yoga classes that offer a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for students of all levels. You will be expected to guide students through yoga poses, breathing exercises, and meditation practices, tailoring your instruction to accommodate various skill levels and physical abilities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Class Instruction**:
- Lead group and private yoga classes, demonstrating proper technique and alignment for various poses.
- Adjust your teaching style to meet the needs of beginners, intermediate, and advanced students.
- Provide modifications and variations of poses to accommodate different skill levels and physical limitations.
2. **Student Engagement**:
- Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Offer personalized feedback and adjustments to help students improve their practice.
- Foster a sense of community and connection among students.
3. **Lesson Planning**:
- Develop and plan yoga sequences that align with the class objectives, incorporating various yoga styles and techniques.
- Stay up-to-date with current yoga practices and trends to keep classes fresh and engaging.
4. **Safety and Well-being**:
- Ensure the safety of all students by observing their practice and providing appropriate guidance.
- Promote mindfulness and awareness, encouraging students to listen to their bodies and practice self-care.
5. **Professional Development**:
- Continuously expand your knowledge and skills through workshops, training, and personal practice.
- Stay informed about the latest research and developments in yoga and related wellness fields.
6. **Administrative Duties**:
- Maintain accurate class attendance records.
- Communicate with students regarding scheduling, cancellations, or any changes to classes.
- Assist in promoting classes and workshops through various channels as needed.
**Qualifications:**
- Certified Yoga Instructor with a recognized yoga teacher training program (200 hours or more).
- Comprehensive understanding of yoga philosophy, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all levels.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
