Unacademy is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Native Japanese Tutor to join our Japanese Content division. This role is essential for vetting, reviewing, and contributing to the development of top-tier educational content, ensuring cultural and linguistic precision to help learners in the US master Japanese effectively. The ideal candidate will have native-level proficiency in Japanese, a deep passion for education, and the ability to collaborate with content creators and subject matter experts to refine and optimize learning materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Vet and review Japanese language content to ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and learner engagement.
• Collaborate with educators, content creators, and the Content Head to ensure the curriculum aligns with the learners' needs and expectations.
• Provide expert insights into nuanced Japanese expressions, grammar, idiomatic usage, and regional variations.
• Assist in the creation of content by offering authentic, context-driven examples and refining explanations.
• Leverage learner feedback to recommend improvements for better engagement and clarity.
• Stay updated with trends and developments in Japanese language education to offer fresh and relevant input.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Japanese, with strong English communication skills.
• Experience in reviewing, vetting, or creating educational content for language learners is preferred.
• Familiarity with the challenges faced by non-native learners, particularly in the US, is a plus.
• Strong collaboration and mentorship skills to support and guide content teams.
• A keen eye for detail with a passion for delivering culturally accurate, high-quality content.
• Bachelor’s degree in Japanese, Education, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
