Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Merchandiser for our Flooring Department. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in product development, sampling, costing, and designing within the home textile industry.

Rols & Responsibilities :

• Lead the development of new flooring products from concept to final sample. 
• Collaborate with buyers, manufacturers, and suppliers to create innovative and market-leading products. Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards and buyer specifications.
• Ensuring swift follow-up, on time delivery and quality checking at every step with the help of the system and data entries into the system etc.
• Manage the sampling process, ensuring timely and accurate production of samples and review & assess the quality, design accuracy, and adherence to client requirements.
• Develop detailed cost analyses for new and existing products.
• Work with suppliers to negotiate pricing and ensure competitive costing.
• Ensure that designs are feasible for production and meet market trends and buyers preferences.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in home textiles and flooring.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology, Textile Chemistry, Fashion & Apparel, Carpet Technology, Diploma or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in product development, sampling, costing.
• Designing experience within the Flooring Products like rugs, carpets in the home textile industry would be an advantage.
• Candidates must have experience in a rug buying agency/ export house or factory.
