Role Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Business Analyst to join our Data Science and Analysis team. This role will be instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making across our e-commerce operations.

You will work closely with business teams to identify key challenges, translate them into analytical problems, and deliver actionable insights through data analysis and visualization.

Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and identify critical business problems.

- Translate business problems into well-defined analytical questions and hypotheses.

- Conduct thorough requirement gathering and documentation.

- Extract data from various sources (databases, APIs, etc.) using SQL and Python.

- Clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis, ensuring data quality and consistency.

- Develop and maintain ETL processes to automate data pipelines.

- Perform in-depth data analysis using Python (Pandas, NumPy, etc.) and SQL to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.

- Develop and apply statistical techniques to validate hypotheses and draw meaningful conclusions.

- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.

- Create interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau (or other visualization tools like Power BI, QlikView, etc.) to communicate insights effectively.

- Design and develop KPIs and metrics to track business performance.

- Present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

- Automate reporting processes.

- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with business teams.

- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing data validation and quality checks.

- Proactively identify and address data quality issues.

- Take ownership of data sanity across all reporting.

- Effectively communicate analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, operations) to drive data-informed decisions.

- Provide training and support to business users on data analysis tools and techniques.

Technical Requirements :

Programming :

- Proficient in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn preferred).

- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.

- Hands-on experience with Tableau (or similar tools like Power BI, QlikView, QlikSense, Spotfire).

- Ability to create compelling and insightful visualizations.

- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).

- Understanding of data warehousing concepts.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, including automation using formulas and scripting.

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) is a plus.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field ( Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics).

- 2-4 years of experience in a Business Analyst or Data Analyst role, preferably in an e-commerce or technology company.

- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Experience working with large datasets.

- Knowledge of e-commerce metrics and KPIs.
