  • Monitoring and Alerts: Utilize security and performance monitoring tools to track system health, detect anomalies, and respond to potential security threats.

  • Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup solutions, conduct regular backup tests, and develop disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Scripting and Automation: Create and maintain scripts for automating routine administrative and security tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages.
  • Compliance: Ensure server and security practices comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of server configurations, security policies, incident responses, and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, application developers, and support staff, to integrate and secure IT systems.
  • Training and Awareness: Provide security awareness training to staff and develop best practices for secure server operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in server administration, with significant expertise in both Windows and Linux environments, and a strong focus on security.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Windows Server (2016, 2019, or later) and Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
  • Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and frameworks, such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, services, and infrastructure.
  • Scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or similar certifications will be added advantage
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on security and compliance.

  • Should be willing to travel to the client's place on a need basis.
  • 6 Days a Week Working.
