Job Summary

The Senior Solution Architect will be responsible for leading cloud architecture design, deployment, and management for the clients of Databytes Consulting Tech. This role will focus on optimizing cloud solutions while integrating security, performance, and cost-effectiveness. With a blend of engineering, architecture, and pre-sales expertise, the Senior Cloud Engineer will provide technical leadership, assisting the sales team in client engagements involving sales opportunities. Work on complex infrastructure projects that leverage advanced cloud platforms and tools. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure), cloud storage, virtualization, and related infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities


  • Cloud Architecture & Design: Lead the design and implementation of highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions for clients. Design and implement cloud architectures leveraging AWS and Microsoft Azure services. Optimize cloud environments for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Administer cloud resources and ensure optimization of virtual machines (VMs) across platforms (Windows/Linux VMs), cloud storage, backup solutions, and databases. Architect and maintain SQL database systems within cloud environments.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to provide technical guidance in pre-sales engagements, including proposal development, technical presentations, and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation.
  • Cloud Platform Expertise: Manage cloud environments, including AWS and Azure, ensuring seamless integration and performance across cloud services such as EC2, S3, Cloudfront, SQL databases, and other cloud-native services. Stay updated on the latest trends in cloud computing, security, and optimization technologies.
  • Virtualization & AI: Oversee virtualization solutions using VMware and explore opportunities to implement AI-driven cloud optimizations and automated monitoring. Develop and deploy virtualization solutions using VMware.
  • Security & Compliance: Lead initiatives to ensure cloud environments comply with security best practices, data protection standards, and disaster recovery protocols. Ensure robust cloud security frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Disaster Recovery: Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity. Strong knowledge of disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Client Engagement: Participate in project discussions with clients, provide technical leadership, and ensure the successful delivery of tailored cloud solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior cloud engineers, providing guidance in architecture, troubleshooting, and solution deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized cloud solutions.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Cloud Engineering Expertise: Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, and cloud infrastructure management.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect certification is preferred. Expertise in AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
  • Cloud Technologies: Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) with hands-on experience in designing and managing cloud environments. Proven experience in cloud architecture and implementation.
  • Database Management: Strong knowledge of SQL databases and integration with cloud platforms. Hands-on experience with SQL database management.
  • Virtualization & VMware: Expertise in virtualization solutions and VMware management. Proficiency in virtualization technologies like VMware.
  • Security & Compliance: In-depth knowledge of cloud security practices, data protection, and disaster recovery planning. In-depth understanding of cloud security best practices.
  • Technical Leadership: Proven track record of leading cloud infrastructure projects and mentoring engineering teams. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Pre-Sales Experience: Experience working with pre-sales teams, preparing technical proposals, and contributing to solution designs for client engagements. Demonstrated ability to optimize cloud resources for cost and performance.
  • AI & Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with AI-driven cloud solutions, automation, and infrastructure optimization.
