Job Title : Senior Manager - Indirect Tax (GST, Customs, SEZ, FTP).

Location: Mumbai (Lower Parel) Work From Office.

Experience : 8 Yrs to 12 Yrs.

- We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead our Indirect Tax practice in the West region.

- This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned tax professional to work with top clients and drive growth through expert advisory, compliance, and business development.

Key Responsibilities:.

Operations (40%).

Provide strategic advice on indirect tax matters, including GST, Customs, SEZ, and Foreign Trade Policy (FTP).

- Lead client engagements across compliance, advisory, representation, and litigation.

- Oversee practice operations such as budgets, billing, and growth in the West region.

- Monitor recent developments in indirect taxes, offering insights to clients and internal teams.

- Manage risk and ensure operational excellence across multiple branches.

- Implement best practices and contribute to practice development and process standardization.

Client Business Development (50%).

- Drive lead generation and conversion from sales to order book in collaboration with the sales team.

- Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering innovative indirect tax solutions.

- Expand client portfolios and identify growth opportunities in key sectors (Manufacturing, IT, FMCG, Pharma, BFSI, etc.

- Represent the Indirect Tax team at practice and industry level through publications, seminars, and alliances.

- Support business growth by actively contributing to sales, client mining, and account expansion.

Team Leadership & Development (10%).

- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of professionals.

- Provide training, performance reviews, and career development opportunities for team members.

- Foster a collaborative, motivated environment to retain talent and drive success.

- Address operational challenges and support employee growth and morale.

Key Skills & Experience:.

- Education: Chartered Accountant or Lawyer with 8-12 years of experience in Indirect Tax (GST, Customs, SEZ, FTP).

- At least 80% experience serving clients in the West region.

- Strong expertise in Indirect Tax Advisory, Compliance, Representation, and Litigation.

- Experience managing a portfolio of clients (3-5 crores).

- Exposure to Customs, SEZ, and Foreign Trade Agreements.

- Prior experience in a Big 4 or similar firm is preferred.

- Proven ability to lead teams, drive business growth, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Excellent communication, client management, and sales skills.
