Role: Manager / Senior Manager Data Engineer.
Job Purpose :
- As a Manager / Senior Manager Data Engineer at Manipal Cigna, you will lead a team responsible for managing and maintaining the Data Lake and operational data store.
- Your role will involve enhancing the Business Intelligence Data Mart to enable fast, high-end analytics and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- You will ensure data consistency and quality in a hybrid system environment, driving impactful business intelligence and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities :
Data Pipeline Maintenance: Maintain data pipelines for various types of dumps, reports, and MIS.
Analytics Support: Provide analytics support across all business journeys including new business, renewals, customer servicing, claims, sales, and distribution management.
Data Transition and Management: Facilitate a smooth transition from SQL to Data Lake using Greenplum (Array of Postgres) DB.
Service and Collaboration: Ensure timely closure of service requests within TAT.
Data Integrity and Automation: Enable data integrity, collation, and adherence to reporting standards.
Strategic Support: Support strategic and other organizational initiatives through robust data management and analysis.
Qualification / Experience / Skills:.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science and information technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in managing Data Warehouse, Data Lake, or ODS.
- Experience managing direct and vendor resources, as well as business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in reporting and integration tools.
- Proficiency in developing robust business cases supported by data.
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
Technical Exposure (Must Have) :
Databases : MSQL, Postgres (Query, Stored Procedures, Job Scheduling.
ETL Tools : SSRS, SSIS, Pentaho (Data Cleansing, Data Transformation, Report Creation, Report Bursting).
- Data Pipeline Setup.
- Query and Procedure Optimization.
- Creating a Scalable and Stable DB Ecosystem.
Technical Skills (Good to Have) :
- Big Data, Spark, Kafka, PowerBI, Tableau.
