Job Overview :

As our Senior Golang Backend Engineer, you will take the lead in designing, developing, and optimizing backend services that power our products. You'll leverage your expertise in Go, microservices, cloud technologies, and distributed systems to build robust and scalable solutions. This role is for a hands-on engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys solving real-world problems at scale.

Key Responsibilities :

- System Design & Development : Lead the design and development of scalable and high-performance backend services using Go (Golang).

- System Optimization : Continuously optimize systems for reliability, efficiency, and maintainability, ensuring robust and performant applications.

- Technical Standards : Establish and enforce technical standards to ensure best practices in development, testing, and deployment across the backend team.

- Mentorship & Code Reviews : Provide technical leadership and mentorship to uplift team capabilities, conduct thorough code reviews, and improve overall code quality.

- Monitoring & Troubleshooting : Proactively monitor system health and performance, and efficiently troubleshoot issues using observability tools like DataDog, Prometheus, or New Relic.

- Cross-Team Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams on API design, integration strategies, and critical architecture decisions to ensure seamless system functionality.

What Were Looking For :

- Experience : Minimum of 5+ years of backend development experience.

- Golang Expertise : At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Go (Golang).

- Cloud & Serverless : Proficiency with AWS services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, and SQS.

- Containerization & Orchestration : Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing services.

- Microservices & Distributed Systems : Strong experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining microservices architectures and working with distributed systems.

- Concurrency & Performance : Deep understanding of concurrent programming patterns in Go and proven experience with performance optimization techniques.

- Domain-Driven Design (DDD) : Practical experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles in software design.

- Testing & Quality Assurance : Expertise in automated testing frameworks, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).

- CI/CD & DevOps : Familiarity with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment.

- Monitoring & Observability : Experience with centralized logging solutions (e.g., ELK Stack) and distributed tracing (e.g., OpenTelemetry).

- Collaboration & Communication : Strong ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, actively participate in code reviews, and articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

- Agile Development : Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments for iterative development and continuous improvement.
