Faculty Positions in Management Courses

SVMK's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), a leader in professional education, invites applications for faculty positions in management courses.

We seek candidates with industry experience and scholarly aptitude to teach courses on Analytics, Operations, and IT. The ideal candidate will have relevant industry experience and preferably a Ph.D. qualification.

Candidates with academic experience must have a proven track record of teaching in Postgraduate Programs in Management.

Candidates with industry experience along with exposure to teaching, without a Ph.D., will be considered for an Adjunct position.

Qualifying Criteria - PROFESSOR:

a. A Ph.D. with First Class (or equivalent grade) in a Master's Degree in Business Management/Administration/relevant discipline.

AND

Minimum 10 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.

AND

Minimum Research Score of 120.

AND

Successfully guided at least 2 doctoral candidates.

b. Minimum 10-15 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, with at least 3 years as Associate Professor.

OR

In the event the candidate is from industry/profession, the following shall constitute as essential:

i. A Ph.D. Degree with First Class (or equivalent grade) in Master's Degree in Business Management/Administration/relevant discipline.

OR

A Ph.D. Degree with First Class (or equivalent grade) in two-year full-time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU/recognized by AICTE/UGC.

iv. Professional work experience significant and recognized at national/international level as equivalent to Ph.D. and 10-15 years' managerial experience in industry at Senior Managerial level in large Organization/MNC/Conglomerate.

c. Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work in peer-reviewed or UGC listed Journals.

Qualifying Criteria - ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR:

a. A Ph.D. with First Class (or equivalent grade) in Master's Degree in Business Management/Administration/relevant discipline.

AND

Minimum 7 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.

AND

Minimum Research Score of 75.

b. Minimum 8 years of full-time experience in teaching/research/industry out of which at least 3 years shall be post Ph.D. experience.

OR

In the event the candidate is from industry/profession, the following shall constitute as essential:

A Ph.D. Degree with First Class (or equivalent grade) in Master's Degree in Business Management/Administration/relevant discipline.

OR

A Ph.D. Degree with First Class (or equivalent grade) in two-year full-time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU/recognized by AICTE/UGC.

iv. Professional work experience significant and recognized at national/international level as equivalent to Ph.D. and eight years of managerial experience in industry at Senior Managerial level in large Organization/MNC/Conglomerate.

c. Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work in peer-reviewed or UGC listed Journals.

Qualifying Criteria - ASSISTANT PROFESSOR:

a. Ph.D. mandatory with minimum 55% in Master's Degree in Business Management/Administration/relevant discipline.

AND

b. Minimum 2 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.

c. Without prejudice to above, the following conditions may be considered desirable:

i) Ph.D. preferred with 2 years of experience.

ii) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar agency.

Published work may include books, Research Periodical, Ph.D. guidance, Consultancy projects, and patent filed.

Pay Scales: As per UGC guidelines; but will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
