Job Title : Senior Migration EngineerEXP : 10 - 12 yearsPosition Summary :We are looking for an experienced Senior Migration Engineer to lead complex migration projects across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in infrastructure, application, and data migration, with proven experience in planning, executing, and optimizing enterprise-scale migrations.You will work closely with project managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transitions with minimal downtime, meeting both technical and business goals.Key Responsibilities :1. Migration Planning & Design :- Assess existing infrastructure, applications, and workloads to create migration strategies.- Design end-to-end migration architectures for cloud, hybrid, or on-premises environments.- Define migration scope, timelines, and risk mitigation plans.2. Execution & Implementation :- Lead the migration of servers, databases, applications, M365, and storage systems.- Use industry-standard tools such as Azure Migrate, AWS Migration Hub, Quest ODM, Cloudamize, ShareGate, and native utilities.- Implement cutover strategies, ensuring minimal disruption to Technical Leadership :- Serve as the SME for migration methodologies, tools, and best practices.- Mentor junior engineers and support technical teams during complex migrations.- Coordinate with architects to align with cloud adoption frameworks and governance policies.4. Performance & Optimization :- Troubleshoot migration issues and optimize performance during transitions.- Validate data integrity, application functionality, and system performance post-migration.- Document lessons learned and recommend process Collaboration & Communication :- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and share progress updates.- Work with security and compliance teams to meet regulatory standards.- Prepare detailed migration runbooks, test plans, and rollback Skills & Experience :- 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in migration-focused roles.- Strong expertise in Azure, AWS, M365, or GCP.Hands-on experience with :- Infrastructure migration (VMware, Hyper-V, physical to cloud)- Application migration- Data migration (SQL, file systems, SharePoint, Exchange)- Proficiency in PowerShell, scripting, and migration automation.- Strong understanding of networking, identity, and security in migration contexts.- Proven track record with large-scale, enterprise-grade migration projects.- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications : : Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, M365 Enterprise Administrator Expert.- Experience with tenant-to-tenant migrations and cross-cloud DR setups.- Knowledge of DevOps pipelines and IaC tools (Terraform, ARM, Bicep).
