A Biomedical Equipment Specialist, also known as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) or Medical Equipment Repairer, is an electro-mechanical technician responsible for installing, inspecting, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing medical equipment used for patient care. They ensure that devices like patient monitors, ventilators, X-ray machines, and ultrasound equipment are safe, accurate, and functioning correctly to support diagnosis and treatment. This role requires strong technical skills in electronics, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work under pressure in a healthcare setting. 

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Biomedical Equipment Specialist located in India. The Biomedical Equipment Specialist will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of medical equipment, performing routine and complex troubleshooting, and ensuring equipment reliability. Daily tasks include inspecting and calibrating equipment, maintaining service logs, and providing field service support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Equipment Maintenance and Equipment Repair skills
  • Knowledge of Medical Equipment and its operation
  • Field Service experience
  • Military Training in relevant technical skills is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
