Technical & Professional requirements: 

  • Certification in accessibility testing (such as CPACC, WAS, or DHS Trusted Tester).
  • Strong proficiency in Axe Deque tools (Axe DevTools, Axe Auditor) for accessibility testing.
  • Deep understanding of WCAG 2.1 standards, ARIA, and accessibility regulations (such as ADA and Section 508).
  • 5+ years of experience in accessibility testing for web and mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with screen readers and other assistive technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Possess good communication and written documentation skills and is able to interact with key stakeholders to deliver fast with quality.
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to deliver on time with quality and also handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Should have excellent problem/ issue management skills across various stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of IT software development life cycle and product process oriented agile development environment like Scrum.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with other accessibility testing tools (like WAVE, JAWS, NVDA).
  • Knowledge of front-end development basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for effective collaboration with developers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive accessibility testing on websites, web applications, and mobile applications to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1, 2.2 and ARIA standards.
  • Utilize Axe Deque tools, such as Axe DevTools and Axe Auditor, to identify accessibility barriers and document test results.
  • Create detailed reports outlining accessibility issues, with clear recommendations for remediation.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and product teams to ensure that accessibility requirements are understood and met.
  • Provide guidance and support to development teams on accessibility best practices.
  • Participate in accessibility audits and assessments to maintain compliance with ADA, Section 508, and other accessibility regulations.
  • Design, Develop, test scenarios and test cases for new components
  • Identify, isolate, regress and communicate defects effectively and efficiently.
  • Diagnose, track, and manage quality issues to resolution.
  • Preparing Summary Reports and suggested documents to improve the quality of the application.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from client stakeholders.
  • Ability to take accountability and responsibility to deliver client commitments.
  • Should be able to build good rapport with the team.
  • Work with a team of automation & manual QA resources.
