Description : Engineer - Frontend (React/Next.js)Location : Pune (Nurturev)Experience : 4 to 6 YearsAbout the Role : We are seeking a highly motivated Founding Engineer - Frontend Specialist with 46 years of experience to anchor our frontend architecture at Nurturev. This pivotal role demands deep expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks, a mastery of web fundamentals, and a crucial skill : proven experience leveraging AI tools as a productivity multiplier while maintaining absolute technical control over code quality and architectural decisions. You will be instrumental in building the initial, scalable frontend of our platform.Key Responsibilities : - Core Development : Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, responsive user interfaces and components primarily using React.js and Next.js, and other similar modern frameworks.- Web Fundamentals Mastery : Apply strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, coupled with a deep, technical understanding of the DOM (Document Object Model), web standards, and accessibility (WCAG) best practices.- AI-Augmented Productivity : Leverage AI tools (e.g., copilots, code assistants) to significantly enhance productivity and accelerate feature delivery, while ensuring the engineer stays in full control of technical choices and adherence to code standards.- State Management : Implement and manage complex application state using modern patterns, demonstrating expertise with state management frameworks such as Redux or comparable alternatives.- Testing and Quality : Ensure high code quality and reliability by developing comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using testing frameworks such as Playwright, Jest, Enzyme, or Cypress.- Engineering Principles : Apply a good understanding of core software engineering principles, including relevant design patterns, data structures, and algorithms, to solve complex technical challenges.- Collaboration and Process : Work collaboratively within an agile development environment, utilizing agile methodologies and Git for version control, maintaining excellent communication with cross-functional teams (Product, Backend).Required Skill Set (Mandatory Skills) : - Experience : 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in frontend development.- Core Frameworks : Expert proficiency in React.js and proven experience with Next.js.- Fundamentals : Strong command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including a deep understanding of the DOM and web accessibility.- AI Tooling : Proven experience using AI tools to enhance productivity while maintaining complete ownership of architectural and code quality decisions.- State Management : Practical experience with state management frameworks like Redux.- Testing : Experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright, Jest, Enzyme, or Cypress.- Version Control : Proficiency with version control systems, specifically Git.- Problem Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex cross-browser and runtime issues.- Engineering Principles : Good understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.- Agile : Experience working in an agile development environment and using agile methodologies.Preferred Skills : - Experience optimizing application performance (e.g., Lighthouse scores, bundle size reduction).- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes in a cloud environment.- Experience in building and maintaining design systems or component libraries.
