Clari is looking for Software Engineers who are passionate about building groundbreaking AI-driven enterprise-grade applications using leading-edge cloud technologies.

In this role, you'll join our Conversational Intelligence team, developing systems to capture and process conversations and enable advanced AI features with state-of-the-art models. You'll build highly scalable applications that deliver valuable insights from vast amounts of data.

Responsibilities :

- Applied GenAI Engineering: Design and ship micro-services that combine retrieval augmented generation (RAG), prompt pipelines, and tool calling agents for use-cases such as summarisation, Q& A, topic-detection, sentiment scoring, agentic workflow, multi-agent orchestration, large data pipeline, etc.

- Evaluation and Safety: Own offline + online eval harnesses (BLEU, ROUGE, human-in-the-loop, red-teaming) and put AI guardrails in place (PII filtering, toxicity checks).

- Fast Iteration: Pair with PMs and designers to run A/B tests, ship weekly behind feature flags, and iterate based on usage signals.

- Technical Depth: Contribute Python production code (FastAPI/Ray) plus tests; review PRs, write design docs, and champion best practices for other product squads integrating LLMs.

Requirements :

- 2+ years of professional experience developing backend applications, with strong proficiency in Python (typing, async, pytest, etc).

- Solid understanding of scalable backend architectures.

- Good knowledge of backend fundamentals: REST/GraphQL, distributed queues (Kafka/SQS), SQL (Postgres, MySQL), and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).

- Comfortable working in Kubernetes-based environments and deploying applications in the cloud (AWS preferred).

- Understanding of multi-threading, data replication, and cloud-native design patterns.

- Proven ability to deliver reliable, data-driven applications at scale.

- Experience with GenAI, ML/LLM framework (PyTorch, HuggingFace Transformers, or LangChain/LlamaIndex, etc), Prompt Engineering (prompt engineering, temperature / topp tuning, tokencost optimisation, etc), vector databases/search stacks (Elasticsearch kNN, Pinecone, FAISS, or equivalent) will be a plus.

- Clear written and verbal communication; able to explain tradeoffs to both engineers and nontechnical stakeholders.
