About the role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Design Engineer with 5-10 years specializing in design, development, and implementation for Substation design. The ideal candidate involves themselves in creating detailed design plans and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
You are expected to do:
- Manage the complete lifecycle of Substation Design with minimal supervision. This includes project planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
- Develop detailed Electrical Designs for the Substation, including Sizing Calculation, control & protection schemes, Component/Equipment selection, substation layout drawings, etc. Conduct system modeling and simulations to validate design choices.
- Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for complex electrical issues during design, installation, and operational phases.
- Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ANSI/IEEE, NEC, UL, IEC). Implement safety measures and conduct risk assessments.
- Power System Studies like load flow/short circuit/ arc flash analysis using SKM/ETAP.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including specifications, reports, and user manuals. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients.
You will be a great fit if you have:
- 5 - 10 years of relevant work experience with B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in designing SLD/3-lines/Protection schematics, Substations, MCC and PCC panels, etc.
- Sound knowledge in Breaker sizing, Cable sizing, Busbar sizing, cable routing, etc.
- Hands-on experience with ANSI, NFPA, NEC, NEMA, and UL standards-Preferred.
- Experience in electrical component selection and BOM preparation.
- Knowledge of various Protection Schemes.
- Hands-on Experience in Load Flow/Short Circuit/Arc Flash Analysis
- Working experience in software like AUTO CAD/SKM/ETAP.
