Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Planning, Estimation, and Billing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, cost estimation, and billing activities for various construction projects. Proficiency in MS Project and Excel is essential, along with a strong understanding of construction project lifecycle management.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning & Scheduling:
  • Develop and manage project schedules in MS Project to ensure timely execution.
  • Monitor project progress and identify delays, risks, and potential issues.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site engineers for schedule adherence.
  • Estimation & Budgeting:
  • Conduct accurate and detailed cost estimations for construction projects.
  • Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) based on architectural and engineering specifications.
  • Assist in creating project budgets and track expenditures to stay within allocated budgets.
  • Billing & Documentation:
  • Prepare client and contractor billing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project terms.
  • Generate monthly progress billing and ensure timely submission to the finance department.
  • Maintain project documentation, including work progress reports, billing records, and contracts.
  • Cost Control:
  • Implement cost-control measures to optimize resources and minimize waste.
  • Monitor and report on project costs and variances against the budget.
  • Analyze cost data and provide feedback to improve project efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Liaise with internal departments (engineering, procurement, finance) and external stakeholders (clients, contractors).
  • Communicate project timelines, deliverables, and issues with all relevant parties.
  • Reporting:
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on project status, cost updates, and billing summaries.
  • Analyze project data to provide insights and support decision-making processes.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in project planning, estimation, and billing within the construction industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Project and Excel is essential. Knowledge of additional project management software is an advantage.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyze data for budgeting and cost-control purposes.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and implement solutions to maintain project timelines and budgets.
