Your expertise will be key in delivering the next generation of immersive entertainment experiences.Key job responsibilities - Optimize multimedia pipeline performance for SoCs, focusing on display, video decoder, and other components.- Integrate and fine-tune AI-based video enhancement features and memory-to-memory scalars for high-resolution displays.- Implement secure video playback solutions, collaborating with teams on DRM integration.- Develop and execute comprehensive test cases to validate multimedia functionality and performance.- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) for various multimedia use cases.- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the multimedia subsystem.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of multimedia components.- Contribute to the development of efficient, low-power solutions for portable consumer devices.- Stay current with emerging multimedia technologies and industry standards.- Participate in code reviews and maintain high-quality, well-documented code.These responsibilities encompass the core duties of the role, focusing on optimization, integration of new features, security implementation, testing, and cross-team collaboration, all crucial for advancing multimedia capabilities in consumer electronics.A day in the life - You analyze performance metrics from yesterday's tests, identifying bottlenecks in the decoder, etc. - Collaborating with a senior engineer, you brainstorm potential solutions and start implementing code changes. - You join a cross-team meeting to discuss integrating a new AI-based upscaling feature with the display team. - You review a pull request from a teammate working on secure playback implementation, providing feedback and suggestions. - Later, you participate in a debug session with the graphics team to resolve an issue with frame synchronization.About the team Welcome to our dynamic Multimedia team We're a diverse group of passionate engineers working on advance video and display technologies. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
