Head - Horticulturist

Job Overview: Head Horticulturist, you will be responsible for Pan India Orchids International schools horticultural operations within our organization. You will oversee the cultivation, maintenance, and development of plants, ensuring their health, growth, and aesthetic appeal. Your role involves strategic planning, team management, and ensuring the highest standards of horticultural practices are maintained along with you be handling the team.

Job Location: Bangalore (Travelling Required)

Job Responsibilities:

• Expert in landscape (Softscape and irrigation) project planning and execution.
• Facilitate technical guidance & support to the site team.
• Regular site visits, monitoring and checking work on-site
• Landscape project &maintenance operation and forecast planning
• Maintaining quality of work & implementing project as per scheduled milestones.
• Provide landscape input to weekly / monthly reports.
• Preparation of costing, work schedule & putting it in place methods & procedures within the budget & time frame.
• Landscape Design, Design Review, BOQ preparation, Contract Management, Nursery Management, And Project management.
• Preparation and Submission of Landscape Master Program, Procurement Program, Maintenance Schedules etc.
• Control on limits of time, cost & quality while execution
• Horticultural Management, Team Leadership, Operational Oversight, Design and Development, Research and Innovation.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Botany, Plant Science, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in horticultural management or supervisory roles.
• In-depth knowledge of plant care, cultivation techniques, and landscape design.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across departments
